BioFuel Region – for a fossil-free northern Sweden

We want to drive the transition to a bioeconomy and a fossil-free vehicle fleet. By channeling and coordinating the work between municipalities and other actors, we can implement creative projects in our region. Together, we can also switch up other people’s initiatives and work so that every penny becomes more valuable! Our strength is that we collaborate with the public sector, business and research and development, and this makes the wheels turn faster. We encourage our members in the change work. They get access to up-to-date expert knowledge from our networks – and we can quickly match member projects with the skills needed. We work for sharper measures and action programs, from municipal to European level, to facilitate development in northern Sweden. BioFuel Region was founded in 2003 and is financed by members, regions and the EU. We have nine employees in Umeå.
