Being committed to Green City principles, Miskolc already implemented two eco-friendly bio-methane projects: a landfill-gas project for the utilization of naturally occurring gas from a recultivated dump, and a sewage sludge digesting and biogas power plant project. As a result, the City can provide competitive energy and district heating to the citizens of Miskolc. Biomethane could also be used for CNG buses, 75 of which have already been procured by Miskolc. Besides increasing renewable energy and reduce emissions, these projects can create new jobs, enhance sustainable public transportation, rural development and move the city toward a cleaner, healthier energy future.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Speaker information[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]György Vécsi graduated as an electrical engineer in 1991, later he achieved qualifications such as expert in design, environmental auditor and project manager.
